Esther Mae Villejoin

Esther Mae Villejoin, 85, of Winnie, died, Monday, December 28, 2020, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was born on November 29, 1935, in Lyons Point, Louisiana, to Inez Fontenot and Evnis Schexnayder.

Esther is survived by her sister, Mary Loyce Reese; children, Carolyn Warnock; Randy Villejoin and his wife, Becky; and Peggy Clement and her husband, Billy, all of Winnie; Charlene Freeman and her husband, Bobby, of Yukon, Oklahoma; and Ted Villejoin and his wife, Kayla, of Bridge City; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Inez and Evnis Schexnayder; husband, Exie Villejoin; brother, Lee Forest Schexnayder; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.

A gathering of Mrs. Villejoin’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. There will be an additional gathering beginning at 8:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Broussard’s. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
