Wayne Cook graduated from Nederland High School in 1971. He later became a father and raised his three boys where he passed on his love of music and adventure. He was very active in both the surfing and music communities, where he shared his knowledge and enthusiasm with all who called him a friend. His final project, a surf rock trio, blended the twin passions of music and surfing together which brought him so much happiness in his life. He was a deeply beloved husband, father, and friend. His legacy will continue to reverberate through the kindness, strength, and joy he imparted into the lives of so many.

Just now seeing this July 4, what a loss. Such an amazing talented friend. He will be missed by many. Praying for your precious family. Looking forward to the day we will be reunited. In the presence of our LORD.
Wayne was a good man. I will miss him.
Wayne was a great person and great friend! We went to high school together but I didn’t see him again until nearly 40 years later. After re-connecting had a lot of good times talking about guitars, surfing, and just hanging out- will really miss him. Peace and prayers to Janet, his sons, and entire family.
Dear Janet and family- we’re are so saddened to hear of Wayne’s passing. Our prayers are with you all. He was such a nice guy.
Wayne was a good soul! Enjoyed listening to some of his live solo music performance in Beaumont, catching waves at Meacoms Pier and San Jose Del Cabo. Rest in Peace my friend!
Lifting the family up to God in prayer. May you find comfort and peace in knowing how much Wayne was loved and respected.
