Francisco Castaneda

Francisco “Kika” Castaneda passed away peacefully January 17, 2024.  He was born on December 3, 1938, in Chihuahua, Mexico.  Kika resided in Beaumont, Texas, for 27 years surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Prior to moving to Texas, he worked at AHMSA in Monclova, Mexico.

Kika leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Gloria Castaneda of Beaumont; daughter, Clarisa (Armando) Heredia of Mexico; three sons, Rogelio (Mariel) Castaneda, Francisco (Melissa) Castaneda, and Gabriel (Flor) Castaneda, all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Karen, Omar, Fafhner, Angela, Armando, Gabriel, Dylan, Aiden, Benjamin, and Francisco; great-grandchildren, Kaxandra, Alexandra, Ailyn, Jailyn, Isabela, Rogelio, and Omar, Jr.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Ivan Castaneda.

A gathering of Mr. Castaneda’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2024, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Beaumont.
