So very sorry to hear about Frank’s passing. Frank certainly opened doors for me, encouraging me forward in wetland management. He was an advisor and I listened knowing that the words were coming from someone who achieved a high standard in professional wildlife management. He was also a friend and have often thought of him in that way. Sad to know of his passing.

So sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. I think of him fondly as a special friend and mentor, giving me my start as a waterfowl biologist and teaching me many important life lessons, both professionally and personally. My sincere condolences to the family and friends he has left behind.

Although I had lost touch with Frank over the years, I often thought of him. Frank gave me my first job out of grad school in 1981 as he was building what was to become a formidable waterfowl program in Florida. I will forever be indebted to him for his mentorship and for his friendship. I know many others feel the same. Frank will be missed, but long remembered.

Sad to hear of Frank’s death. I enjoyed verbally sparring with him at Atlantic Flyway tech section meetings for many years. He had a way with words and usually won the section over. He was enjoyable company.
