Frank R. Garcia

February 29, 1928 - March 1, 2022

Frank Ramirez Garcia, 94, of Port Arthur, died Tuesday, March 1, 2022. He was born February 29, 1928, in Farmersville, Louisiana, to Angelina Ramirez and Juan Garcia. Frank served in the United States Army during World War II. He retired as a carpenter after over fifty years.

Frank was a long-time member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Port Arthur. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and papa.

Survivors include children, Gloria M. Garcia, of Port Arthur; Sylvia M. Olney, of Port Arthur; David Medrano, of Port Arthur; Joe Edward Medrano and his wife, Linda, of Village Mills; Ricky  Garcia Sr. and wife, Daisy, of Groves; and David Garcia, of Port Arthur; two granddaughters; ten great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and friends.

Frank is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years, Gloria V. Garcia; parents; grandchildren, Hector Garcia, Jr. and Monica E. Garcia Govea; six brothers and one sister.

A gathering of Mr. Garcia’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, 3098 U.S. Access Road, Nederland.

    I miss you so much Papol. You will never be forgotten! You had such a big impact on everyone you spoke with thru your life time.
