Freddie Campbell
Freddie Campbell, 71, of Lumberton, lost his battle with Leukemia on Monday, May 6, 2024. Freddie was born July 13, 1952, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Fred and Jeanette Campbell. He was a faithful member of North End Baptist Church where he served in the kitchen, as a Sunday School teacher, narrator and VBS volunteer. He retired from the Beaumont Enterprise after 33 years. He highly recommended retirement to all his friends. His favorite pastimes were golf, serving at church and most of all being a Pappaw.
He loved sports and was a devoted Arkansas Razorback and Houston Astros fan. He was very competitive whether it be playing golf with friends or basketball with grandkids. More than anything, Freddie loved spending time with family and friends. He took pride in planning various vacations and golf outings. Family members were always eager for their “favorite uncle” to show up with sausage balls for holiday gatherings.
Freddie’s personality was larger than life. He loved people and never met a stranger. He would strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. His distinctive voice and infectious laugh couldn’t be missed nor forgotten. Freddie loved being the center of attention and everyone knew when he walked into a room. He always had a positive outlook and had a memorable impact on all those he met.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Campbell; daughter, Lindsay Solorzano and her husband, Nathan, of Spring; son, Jason Lynch and his wife, Jacqueline, of Boerne; brothers, James Campbell and his wife, Jean, of Alexandria, Louisiana and Paul Campbell and his wife, Tracey, of North Little Rock, Arkansas; sister, Virginia Garrett of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Lexi Solorzano, Anthony Solorzano, Marcus Solorzano, Keira Solorzano, Wells Lynch, and Mary Alice Lynch.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Ralls and his parents.

Brenda I’m so sorry hear about Freddie’s passing. I will be keeping you in my prayers.
I am so sorry to learn of the loss of Freddie, he was truly one of the good ones. His smile and laugh often brightened the room and was contagious. I will miss our chats about all things golf and college football. He will be dearly missed.
I know, and so do a number of other people from the St. E Wellness Center, know Freddie. He was so well liked by all. . For the short time that I have known Freddie, I have always thought of him as a very likable Christian man. Freddie has always been the life of the party. I’ve always liked his out going personality. He truly never met a stranger. I was very impressed by the article he wrote about his parents a while back. He had such good Christian parents and honored them well. I feel that this man has positively touched many peoples lives. I know for sure that many will truly miss him, as I well.
Bill and I were saddened to hear the news of Freddy passing. He was such a great person with the biggest personality. Prayers for his wife and the rest of his family.
Freddie was our first couples class Sunday school teacher. We loved him as our teacher. Through the years we have been wonderful friends to both him and Brenda. I can’t remember how many football game parties he has attended at our house. He and Rodney played so many golf games all over this area. We are going to miss, Freddie so much! We loved him and he was a great friend! Our prayers are with Brenda and Lindsey and his grands!🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️
Freddie was so special. Our family loved him and appreciated how he brought a warm feeling to our hearts and a smile to our faces! Brenda and Freddie are a special part of our family and will always be. Praise God for the times, fun, and happy memories we’ve shared with the Campbell’s and the peace he’s extended to their family.

Our family has lost a much-loved dear friend. After David died, Freddie called at least once a week to check on me. He showed up for many of the kids and grandkids activities . Our world will not be the same without Freddie in it. Yes, he and David are reunited forever. Our hearts go out to you. We know your hurt is deep.
Freddie was a friend to all who knew him! There is not anyone that knew him that didn’t like him. He always made people laugh. Freddie will be missed more than he could possibly know! I haven’t seen him in years, but seems like yesterday that we worked together. We could call Freddie to fix just about any computer problem we had!
I’m very saddened that he is not with us here on earth anymore, but we all know that he is rejoicing in Heaven, and has a smile on his face! No more sickness or sadness, nothing but joy and happiness!
See you again my friend!

Brenda, I know how much you and the family are hurting. Just know that many prayers are being prayed, and God will get you through!
Freddie was truly the best! I am going to miss him very much. Brenda, I am sorry for your loss. I had so many great memories of golf and golf trips with Freddie. I laughed every time I recall our times together. I know David has already made a tee time for him and Freddie to play golf in Heaven on a golden golf course. I know every shot will be a hole-in-one and there will be no need for Freddie to say “Jiminy Crickett” after every shot as every shot will be true and pure. Jonathan and Angelica Juhan
