Gail Markerson Luke

October 11, 1939 - April 24, 2022

Gail Markerson Luke, 82, of Nederland, died Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont. She was born October 11, 1939, in Franklin, Louisiana, to Gladys Fontenot and Matthew Markerson.

Gail was an excellent cook. She loved to work in the garden, travel, and spend time with her family. Her family and grandchildren were the most important thing in her life. Gail will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and granny.

Survivors include her husband of over sixty-one years, Royce Luke; son, Scott Luke and wife, Regan, of Houston; daughter, Karen Luke Angelle and husband, Kim, of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; grandchildren, Alexandria Lutz and fiancé, Cody Mangum; Ian Lutz; and Hudson and Piper Luke; sister, Jane Polito, of Lafayette, Louisiana; and numerous other loving nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ray Markerson.

Mrs. Luke’s cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
