Garrett Hunter Emery

November 22, 2004 - August 19, 2025

Garrett Hunter Emery of Baytown, Texas, entered this world on November 22, 2004, to his loving parents, Kenneth and Lori Emery. Tragically his life ended on August 19, 2025, at the age of 20.

Garrett came into this world as the final piece of the puzzle to his family. Along with his parents, he joined his siblings Cody, Danielle and Charlie. Even though he was the baby of the family, he was much more than that. He was the goofball. He was the lover. He was the helper. He was larger than life with the biggest, most loving heart and an ability to give the most enormous bear hugs that let you know he cared about you. To know Garrett, was to be loved by him AND to love him. Not only did he love his humans fiercely, but he was very protective of them as well and could carry on a conversation for hours. He had a strong love for his fur babies too. He was also very stubborn, which he came by honestly. Have you met his mother, sister, brothers, really anyone in his family? He had a knack for computers and enjoyed creating games and music for his network of online friends.

He leaves behind his devoting father and overprotective mother; oldest brother, Cody (Melly) Rouse; big little sister, Danielle (Zach) Davis; and insanely smart brother, Charlie Emery; his loving grandma, Leota Emery; aunts, Cheryl Miller, Debbie and Nina Hill; uncles, Jeff (Laura) Hill, and Ricky (Candy) Hill; and nephew, Kasey; as well as many cousins and extended family.

Meeting him at Heaven’s gate are his maternal grandparents, Dickie and Kathryn Hill; and paternal grandfather, Charles D. Emery; his very own Santa Claus, uncle James Emery; mischievous uncle Gerald Miller; and aunts, Sharron Harrelson, and Laurie Emery Hamilton.

Now that he is gone, we will never be the same, but we are forever enriched by all that he gave back to us.

Cremation arrangements for Garrett were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.

Thank you so very much. Life will never be the same. Garrett was taken much to soon. I am going to miss my baby boy. I am going to miss his hugs , especially the times he knew mom needed one. I will never again hear him say I love you Mom. His humor was sharp, with a bit of sarcasm! He was always quick to help o. I never had to ask, I only had to yell, Garrett, I am home, and he would come downstairs to check to see if I needed help. I am going to miss him so, so much. I haven’t been able to breathe. He was my baby, the clown , a pest at times when he thought his brother needed to be picked on. He e was such an amazing young man. My son was Autistic, so smart, he was artistic. He loved to design games and make music for his online friends. They could talk, argue, laugh, and play his games hours. His Family and Friends are going to miss him. He was so loved. I am never going to see him continue to grow, nor will we see him start his own family. I could go on and on about my awesome son. He was the baby son, our youngest. He was a very good brother who had fun picking on his siblings . He could debate any subject presented to him. Smart as a whip! We love him!
Thank you again for your kind words.
