Gary Steven Stroupe

Gary Steven Stroupe, 79, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, November 27, 2024. He was born on December 29, 1944, in Shelby, North Carolina, to Delta Ruth Bell and Burlin Moses Stroupe.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Avondale Shipyard in Avondale, Louisiana as a welder until the 1980’s. He moved to Beaumont in 1988, endeavoring with a career as a mechanic/wireline operator at Fesco petroleum Engineers for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

Survivors include his daughter, Paula Guajardo and her husband, Alex; grandchildren, Justin Stoudt, Alex Guajardo and his fiancé, Payton Broussard, and Hardy Guajardo; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Stoudt, Oliver Stoudt, and Greyson Stoudt; brother, Michael Stroupe; sister, Pauline Bridges.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Brenda Lou Griffin; and sister, Marita Jackson.

Memorial contributions for Mr. Stroupe may be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.

Cremation arrangements for Mr. Stroupe were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 20000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
