Gene LeBlanc

Gene LeBlanc, 82, of Vidor, died Sunday, April 16, 2023.  He was born on April 14, 1941, in Orangefield, to Macey Granger LeBlanc and Noah LeBlanc.

Gene retired from Sunoco after almost forty years as a mechanic.  He enjoyed Cajun music and playing the accordion.  Gene also enjoyed dancing, fishing, and gardening.  He was a creative builder and will be remember as a loving husband, father, and PawPaw.

Survivors include his second wife, of twenty-five years, Rita Romero; sons, John LeBlanc and his girlfriend, Wanda Doiron, of LaBelle; Tony LeBlanc and his fiancée, Tammy Brewer, of Houston; and Brad Broussard and his wife, Lan, of Austin; daughter, Angie Louviere and her husband, Jamey, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Christopher LeBlanc; Lacey Roberts and her husband, Kyle; Katelyn Tassin and her husband, Nelson; Madeline Aubey and her boyfriend, Collin Stifflemire; Renno Sullivan; Drew, Weston, Ty, and Jeremiah Louviere; Blake Cruse; and Britteny Goodman; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Elias, Lilith, Lydia, Kayli, Addison, River, and Baby Rydge due in June; brothers, Edwin LeBlanc of Nederland and Joseph LeBlanc and his wife, Margaret, of Buna; sisters, Tracie Delome of Orangefield; Janet Chessher and her husband, Kenneth, of Buna; Patricia Falgout and her husband, Howard; Linda Ward and her husband, Allen, of Bridge City; and Edna LeBlanc of Orangefield; sister-in-law, Marie Broussard of Port Acres; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, of thirty-six years, Judy Broussard-LeBlanc; and brother, Nolen LeBlanc.

A gathering of Gene’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2023, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland.  His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
