George Ann Nuchia
George Ann Nuchia, 84, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on April 25, 1939, to Almaree Durbin Gunter and Rush Bunion Gunter, in Beaumont. Her journey as a Nurse began as a student at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. George Ann chose the field of Industrial Nursing and was the company nurse at Houston Chemical/ PD Glycol in Beaumont until she retired at age 52. She was a lifelong member of Beaumont’s First Baptist Church, which she loved dearly.
Survivors include her children, Henry J. Hebert, Jr. and his wife, Taryn and Scott W. Hebert, all of Beaumont and Heather J. Hebert Melhorn of El Paso; grandchildren, Scott Hebert, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie; Brody Hebert; and Eric Melhorn and his wife, Tianna; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous work colleagues, friends, church family members, and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Henry J. Hebert, Sr. and Samuel Stephen Nuchia; and grandson, Jason Hebert.
Mrs. Nuchia’s memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Beaumont’s First Baptist Church, 3739 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
