George Campbell

George Robert Buchberg Campbell, 32, of Nederland, died Friday, December 31, 2021. He was born October 11, 1989, in Houston, to Dianne Buchberg and Herman Campbell.

George was a pipefitter and member of the local #195 but that was not all he was. He was a musician and played several instruments. He was a jokester and a friend to call if you needed something. He was a generous and giving soul. If he had it to give, it was yours. Need food? George would feed you. Need a place to stay? He would let you stay at his house. Brimming with charisma, he was loved by many people. George enjoyed fishing, hanging out, and learning new things. He also enjoyed reading books on philosophy, psychology, music, and poetry.

Survivors include his parents, Dianne and Herman Campbell, of Savanah; grandparents, Shelia and Ed Buchberg, of Houston; sons, Aiden and Atticus Campbell; daughter, Kyleigh Rodriguez; sister, Danica Campbell Wilson and husband, Stephen, of Denton; aunts and uncles, Ed Buchberg and wife, Dina; Lelia Johnson and husband, Tommy; and Maria Christianson; numerous great aunts and uncles and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Barbara Campbell.

Cremation arrangements for George will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2022, at Broussard’s, Nederland. The family asks that all attendees wear masks.
