George Winn Myrick

December 26, 1959 - November 3, 2020

George Winn Myrick, 60, of Beaumont, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at his home after a prolonged battle with brain cancer. He was born on December 26, 1959, to Wynona Shepherd Myrick and Lonnie Edward Myrick, in Beaumont.

A native of Beaumont, George attended Forest Park High School and Lamar University. He worked for Earth Analytical Sciences at ExxonMobil Refinery for over fifteen years and had a passion for duck hunting and bass fishing.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-one years, Karen Elizabeth Myrick; son, James Edward Myrick of Beaumont; brothers, Keith Myrick of Beaumont and Alan Myrick of Austin; sister, Kim Farrell of Orange; brother, Walter Myrick of Spring; parents, Nona and Lonnie Myrick of Woodville; and numerous family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life in George’s honor will be held in January 2021.

His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
