Gerald “Jerry” B. Henderson

Gerald “Jerry” B. Henderson, 93, of Nederland, and previously of Pownal, Maine died Thursday, April 17, 2025. He was born on November 21, 1931, to Ruby Parker Henderson and John Murdock Henderson in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Jerry was an incredible soul. He had an incredible journey and a journey that would not have been possible without all of you.

Jerry was not a particularly religious man in his latter years, but that’s not to say he wasn’t a spiritual man. He spent a large part of his life helping and healing others and that part of him carried on, right to his final days. The great number of true friends he had across this country is a testament to his ability to touch people’s hearts. His wit, wisdom and that big laugh will be remembered.

Survivors include his children, Kathy Mishler and her husband, Buzz; Rick Henderson and his wife, Teri; and David Henderson and his wife, Alice; fur babies, Zach and Bella; grandchildren, Evan Henderson, and Hunter Henderson; five great-grandchildren; and life Partner, Carol Ann Beisman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and John Henderson, and his brother, Ken Henderson.

The friendship and love he received from his family and friends meant the world to him.

Our family would like to say thank you to all of you for your thoughts and prayers these last few weeks. It is truly appreciated. And also, a huge thank you to the wonderful and compassionate staff at Beaumont Healthcare.

Jerry’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
