Gerald Glenn Looper

August 19, 1962 - July 6, 2025

Gerald Glenn Looper was born on August 19, 1962 in Wharton, Texas to parents Argus Vaughn Looper and Sue Ann Looper. He entered Heaven’s gates and into the arms of Jesus on July 6, 2025 in Crystal Beach, Texas at the age of 62 years.

Gerald was a Firefighter for over 35 years and in EMS for 17 years. He worked in the fire service in Galveston County since 2001, where he joined Kemah Fire Department after 911 and, most recently, Santa Fe FD in January 2016.

He is survived by his loving mother, Sue Looper; beloved wife, Janny Looper; daughters, Aja Warren and her husband, Jeremy Warren, and Katy O’Brien; son, Dustin Baker and his wife, Miranda Baker; grandchildren, Rider Warren, RiveeRose Warren, Emerson Baker, Watson Baker, and Winston Baker; brother, Jeff Looper and his wife, Louisa Looper; sister Jennifer Looper; numerous much-loved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many very special friends.

Gerald was proceeded in death by his father, Argus Looper.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at the Santa Fe Fire Department, Santa Fe, Texas, date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Gerald’s name to the Animal Alliance of Galveston County.

Mr. Looper’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
