Gerald Wright, Jr.
Gerald Wright, Jr., 50, of Beaumont, died Saturday, September 18, 2021. He was born on September 30, 1970, in Beaumont, to Lyna Marie McAlpin and Gerald Wright, Sr. Gerald was a foreman at Zachary Group. He worked in heavy equipment operations for 20+ years.
He is survived by his wife, Alica Wright; daughter, Devyn Riffe of Silsbee; mother, Lyna Johnson and her husband, Terry, of Silsbee; father, Gerald Wright, Sr. and his wife, Karla, of Texas City; brother, Jason Wright, of Beaumont; stepdaughter, Aimee Brinkley and her husband, Tim; and stepson, Aaron Werschky and his wife, Kristi, all of Fort Smith, Arkansas; stepsister, Kayla Watson and her husband Dink, of League City; stepbrother, T.J. Johnson and his wife, Stevi, of Pearland; grandchildren, Ryleigh Riffe, Bailee Brinkley, Jacob Werschky, Thomas Werschky, Elli Brinkley, Alex Werschky, and Levi Brinkley; aunt, Karen Cleveland, of Lumberton; and cousins, Chris Cleveland, of Beaumont and Justin Cleveland and his wife, Erin, of Lumberton, and their children.
Gerald is preceded in death by his uncle, Ricky Cleveland.
A gathering of Mr. Wright’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Hooks Cemetery, 5213 Hooks Cemetery Loop, Kountze.
