Geraldine “Jerry” Clara Sirman Clubb

Geraldine “Jerry” Clara Sirman Clubb, 95, of Beaumont, died Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on December 18, 1927, to Elma Warren Sirman and Albert M. Sirman, in Beaumont.

Jerry attended Sul Ross and Lamar University after which she taught middle school science for several years.  Inheriting a love of gardening from her father she enjoyed being surrounded by flowers and plants.  She was also quite the bird watcher making many trips to sanctuaries and nesting habitats as well as participating in the annual eagle count.  Devoted to her family, she spent as much time with and caring for them as possible.  One of her favorite ways to spend time with her family was at the beach.  She often enjoyed taking a morning stroll by the water, fishing, crabbing and making gumbo.  As a lover of books Jerry also instilled a passion for reading into her children and grandchild.  She was a member of the DRT and also a member of Calder Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Clara C. Orr of Beaumont; sister, Betty White of Beaumont; grandchild, Jennifer Alwardt and her husband, Sean, of Lucas; sister-in-law, Erline Kreger of Pennington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Perry “Pete” Clubb; and son, James Lloyd Clubb.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Arfeen and his staff and the Harbor Hospice staff for the care and consideration they provided.

A memorial service for Mrs. Clubb will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
