Gerardo Abes Salazar

Gerardo Abes Salazar, 70, of the Philippines, died Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on January 30, 1953, to Maxima Abes Salazar and Cipriano Salazar, Sr., in the Philippines and worked as a civil engineer.

Survivors include his wife, Priscila Salazar; children, Geffrey Salazar and his wife, Riamelle Pola Salazar; Glenn Salazar and his wife, Roselle Salazar; Gerardo Salazar and his wife, Karen Salazar; and Gracezielle Arances and her husband, Richard Arances; grandchildren, Francis Greg Salazar, Elliana Kristine Salazar, Dirk Richardson Arances, Therese Paz Arances, and Rian Gevriel Salazar; and siblings, Alicia Lacson, Marilyn Anonas, Alfredo Salazar, Lerma de laCruz, Olivia Billete, Alma Retuta, and Cipriano Salazar, Jr.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rodolfo Salazar; and sister, Myrna Interno.

A gathering of Mr. Salazar’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Broussard’s. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
