Germaine Rose Schoening
Our beloved mother passed away at the age of eighty-eight after a long illness. As with all aspects of her life, she faced her illness with grace and fortitude.
She was the epitome of selflessness and love. Her dedication to her family displayed her greatest joy and she ensured that God and prayer were the cornerstones of our daily lives.
She was a devoted Catholic and a long-standing parishioner of St. Annes who seldom missed the seven o’clock Sunday morning mass.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Gwen and Randy (deceased) Jones; Jean and Ted Hillin; Joel Schoening; Diane and Jack Rickards; Dale Schoening; Joy and Pete Fress; and Marilyn Schoening; grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Myranda Jones, Madalyn Lisenby, Lauren Trotter, Catherine Peterson, Cody Rickards, and Conner Rickards; great-grandchildren, Carson Lisenby and James Peterson.
Her giving spirit and self-sacrifice will be remembered always. The earth lost a beautiful soul, but heaven gained a precious angel.
A private family memorial service will be held under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with Reverend D. Stephen McCrate officiating, at a later date.

Jean and Joel, we are very sorry to hear about the death of your Mom. From our earliest recollections of her, we remember what a gentle and kind person she was. We know you will miss her greatly, but having wonderful memories and knowing she has earned her heavenly reward should bring you joy.
