Gladys Stepp
Gladys Mae Stepp, 84, of Port Neches, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born March 5, 1937, in Abbeville, Louisiana, to Agnes Manceaux Gaspard and Clarca Gaspard.
Survivors include her children, Quinda “Gwen” Morgan and husband, Darren, of Broussard, Louisiana; Michelle G. Hargrave and husband, Bennett, Jr., of Kaplan, Louisiana; Bridgette LaBure and husband, Troy, of Port Neches; Fred Stepp II and husband, Alberto Winslet, of Houston; and Monica A. Credeur and husband, John, of Nederland; grandchildren, Jeremy P. Chauvin and fiance, Amber Alford; Jennifer L. Romero and husband, Josh; Tracy L. Hargrave and husband, Jaryd; Trent. L. Hargrave and wife, Angelique; Alexis LaBure; Noah LaBure; Grace LaBure; and Brittney Stepp; great-grandchildren, Brooke; Blaise; Jasper; Zack; Cole; Isabella; Abel; Brooklyn; Trever; and Riley; and brother, Nelson Gaspard.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Clarca Gaspard; husband, Fred Stepp, Sr.; and brothers, Preston, Oliver, Andrew, Leonce, and J.C. Gaspard.
A gathering of Mrs. Stepp’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 24, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2006 Nall Street, Port Neches, with her entombment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

Oh Monica, I’m so sorry I missed your mama’s funeral. I loved how happy she looked in all the pictures with all her family surrounding her. I remember her smile and how she would laugh at us when we’d run from the chickens!! I miss you Monica,Fred and Bridget too. I’ll always cherish the memories your mom made possible!! I love all of y’all. I wish I could have been there to show it. ❤️
