Glenn A. Johnson
Glenn A. Johnson, 78, of Beaumont, died Friday, October 13, 2023, at Christus Southeast Texas – St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born October 12, 1945, in Beaumont, to Rosie Inez Purkes Johnson and Dewey Johnson.
Glenn is survived by his son, Steve Johnson and his fiancé, Misty Madaffri, of Beaumont; stepson, Doug Pennell of Fannett; brother, Darrell Johnson and his wife, Barbara, of Conroe; sister, Donna Myers of Fannett; brother, Perry Johnson and his wife, Debbie, of Port Aransas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Helen Johnson; second wife, Sue Johnson; daughter, Stephanie Rene Johnson Fertitta; and his parents, Dewey and Rosie Johnson.
Mr. Johnson’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
Hey Bubba, Just wanted to tell you that I love you. It’s been a little over 7 Months now and summer is almost here. I sure miss you and the summer’s we shared having some beer, BBQ and listening to music together, good times. I talk to you everyday and look at your picture on Broussard’s when I get to work and tell you how much I love and miss you before I start my day. The experience that I had in November must have been you and thank you for letting me know that you are ok Slim. Well I love ya and keep watching over me if you can. I’ll write you later!
Dad, I knew this day would come and it’s very difficult for me, but you always told me everything’s gonna be alright. It has been me and you together for a long time and many years and there are a lot of memories of us that I will cherish and never forget of course. I love you very much and gonna miss you not being around anymore. I will never forget the things you taught me. It has been an honor to be your son. For years before you went to bed you would always come around the corner everyday and say “Well slim, I think ima gonna call it a day” I know what you meant now! I’m sure gonna miss you and I love you Pop, Check in on me and Misty from time to time if you can. Rest easy my “bestest” friend!
