Glynda Aline Minick
Glynda Aline Minick, 72, of Vidor, died September 2, 2021. She was born on September 24, 1948, to Dorothy Aline Nicol Foxworth and Alton Earl Foxworth, in Sour Lake.
Glynda was married to the love of her life, Glen Minick for 52 magnificent years. She was a cosmetologist by trade, but she was creative and very passionate about floral design and crafts. She was fan of all sports. The Houston Oilers were her team. Any fall weekend before you entered into their home you could hear her cheering from outside. If you ever attended any sporting event involving her children, grandchildren, or someone she loved she was the loudest, most spirited in the stands. She loved spending time with her family and friends that always became family. She loved deeply and accepted everyone. Over the years she was a mother to many and loved by all. Sissy, Honey, Aunt Sissy, Meme, Aunt Glynda, Mom she would answer to these with pride.
Survivors include her husband, Glen Minick; son, Lee Minick of Seminole, Oklahoma; daughter, Amanda Eason and her husband, Karl, of Orange; sister, Diane Maggio of Sour Lake; granddaughters, Shelby Eason and Devan Eason; niece, Nikki Andrepont and her husband, Chris, of Sour Lake; great-nephews, Drake and Ford Andrepont; and son-in-spirit, Randy Thompson.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, John Maggio.
A gathering of Mrs. Minick’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 6, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Sour Lake.
Please honor Glynda by wearing a face covering of your choosing to this indoor event as social distancing will likely be broken by your gracious and loving embraces.

In watching her video it really appears that Glynda had a very memorable and joyful life with a big family that really loved her. She loved her Texans and boy they were a sharp couple on their wedding day! As her Medicare insurance agent it was always a real pleasure talking with her on the phone tending to her and Glen’s drug coverage every year. I wish to express my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to Glen and entire family for their loss. May you all continue to live in fond memory of her life.
I had many fun times with Glynda and Glen through my friends, Dianne and Jim Branch, who lived across the street. We ate a lot of meals together and just had good times. So sorry for your loss.
Glynda and I went to school together Class of 67. We all lived in the same neighborhood (we lived on 3rd st). I will remember she always had a smile on her face and loved people and was so sweet. You and your family are in my prayers.

Here’s a random memory: a long time ago when she was subbing, she taught our class what “italics” are. Even now (30+ years later) when I’m typing and change the font to italics, I think of Mrs. Minick.
