Grace Evelyn McCown
Grace Evelyn McCown, 80, of Fannett, died Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Oak Grove Nursing Home, Groves. She was born June 17, 1942, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Carrie Miller Foux Thibodeaux and Louis Thibodeaux.
Grace is survived by her husband, Jerry Dale McCown, of Fannett; sons, Jerry Dale McCown, Jr., of Fannett and Donald Wayne McCown of Nederland; sister, Linda Durmon of Rose City; Pat Seamens of Lake Charles; Angela Newell of Moss Bluff; Romona Holman of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Kristin Wilson of Clarksville, Arkansas; Shyanne McCown of Sulphur, Louisiana; Hunter McCown of Nederland; Dylan McCown of Nederland; Michael Dale McCown of Winnie; great-grandchild, Kaylee Wilson of Clarksville, Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Dale McCown; daughter, Carrie Kristine McCown; and daughter-in-law, Tamara McCown.
A gathering of Mrs. McCown’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2022, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.

Grace and I worked together at Helena Laboratories for many years. My son,Brian, worked for Grace and Dale in the Sheetrock business. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May God give you all peace and comfort.
I have known Grace since high school days. I’ve gotten to know Grace a little bit better since she married Dale.
