Gregory Martin

Greg grew up in Port Neches and graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School. He continued his education and later graduated from the Universal Technical Institute. Greg was a jack of all trades and worked many years as a licensed mechanic. He finished off his career by working for the City of Nederland in the water plant as an operator for over twenty years.
Tiny was a servant at heart, and you could always find him volunteering his time for a good cause. He volunteered at the Night to Shine dance for special needs and Stables Spirits. Volunteering at the Nederland Heritage Festival held a special piece of his heart. Greg and his wife, Pat, volunteered for many years and made it a family tradition later in life with their daughter and son-in-law. For the Nederland Heritage Festival, Greg served as a board member, chairman for the car show, volunteered with the transportation crew, and worked with “Friends of the Festival”, a special needs event. Tiny was always ready to lend a hand, crack a joke, and make you laugh. He will be miss by all that knew him.

I am truly saddened to hear of Greg’s passing. My baby brother Chad Schaver went to school with Greg. I remember seeing Greg almost daily after school hanging out with Chad and another good friend David. I can not imagine the heartache that has been left with Greg’s family and friend’s. Prayer’s for all that knew and loved Greg.
There are no words….there will always be an empty place….Greg was such a precious loving person….I was honored to be family….. I can see the heavenly celebration!
So sorry… prayers for the family …
