Gwen Bonsall
Gwen Bonsall, 91, of Beaumont, died Thursday, December 16, 2021. Gwen was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas. She graduated high school from St. James. She was a homemaker for 27 years raising five sons.
Gwen volunteered for a period of time at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was a theater enthusiast and frequently attended shows in Beaumont and Houston. She was a season ticket holder for the Community Players. Gwen possessed substantial entrepreneurial and organizational skills. She owned residential rental properties in Houston for 22 years.
Gwen loved spending quality time with her family and friends. Her legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Ray Bonsall and Robert Bonsall; grandchildren, Nikki Wyble and her husband, Bryan; Amber Campbell and her husband, Jason; and Ben Bonsall and his wife, Katherine; great-grandchildren, Dray, Taytum, Jackson, Lucas, Gwendolyn and Benji.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carl Schexnayder; sons, Tom Bonsall, Tim Bonsall, and Joey Bonsall.
A Rosary for Ms. Bonsall will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of her family and friends to follow until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of one’s choice.

Met Gwen and family in about 1976 and have known them ever since. Here’s one thing we know; she was the kindest, sweetest, most gentle soul with which one could cross paths. We also know this: she loved those sons of hers dearly, deeply, unyieldingly and with all her heart. Gwen will be missed.
Gwen was a wonderful friend over the years.

She was one of the nicest mothers in the old Caldwood neighborhood when my family lived there. She will be sorely missed.
