Hallie London Doucet

October 11, 2006 - March 1, 2026

Hallie London Doucet, 19, of Silsbee, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026. She was born October 11, 2006, to Misti Michelle Gilchriest and Laine Evin Doucet in Beaumont.

Throughout school, London was involved in many activities. Starting in 2nd grade she was involved in the academic group, PSIA. She received many awards in the Story Telling competition representing St. Anne’s Catholic School and went on to compete in the State level. She served in the Youth Guild for six years and was honored to be a Belle for the Beaumont Symphony League.  London was also a cheerleader at St. Anne’s in the eighth grade. In High School she was in as many clubs as possible and played soccer to be close to her friends. She was always a member of the Honor Roll and was inducted into the National Honor Society. London accumulated hundreds of community service hours and was a Princess for the Neches River Festival. She attended Blinn Community College and was on the Dean’s List within her first semester and immediately applied to A&M again

London’s livestock show career started at age 8, with her Daddy guiding the way. Her love for animals started far before that. She was an active member and officer of Lucky Clover 4H and Hardin Jefferson High School FFA. She spent numerous hours in the barn honing in on her showmanship skills, but not to dabble too much in the “dirty work”. Her first show pig Oreo evolved into a barn full of sheep, buckles and banners started accumulating. London made so many good memories, countless connections and friends all across Texas. Nothing beats her most notable and memorable victories of 2023 Southeast Texas State Fair Grand Champion Lamb and landing a sale spot at the 2024 and 2025 San Antonio Livestock Show. London’s most favorite part of hitting the major show circuit, was the late night and early morning staging with her Dad to get the best stall spot in the show barn—she was best at being his passenger princess.

London attended Camp Longhorn from ages 8 to 17 and especially loved Riflery. She spent her days swimming, playing games, eating at the Chow Hall, and trying to find her sister around camp. She cherished the letters sent from her family. She would mail her dad her Riflery results, and make sure her mom knew what package to send next. She notoriously won awards for knowing the most people around camp, received the distinguished Campfire Lighter Award, and participated in the Mile Swim every year.

The love London had for her family showed in everything she did. They were, without a doubt, her whole world, and she loved them with her whole heart. She stayed closely connected with both of her widowed grandmothers, even organizing a sleepover with all the grandchildren after the loss of their grandfathers so they could be together.

From the very beginning, London was loud in the very best way—full of life, full of laughter, and never afraid to be herself. You always knew when she entered a room because she brought an energy that could turn any quiet moment into something fun and unforgettable. London had a way of making life feel like a celebration. Her contagious smile and constant laughter were simply part of who she was.

London never worried about what anyone thought of her, and that was one of her most beautiful qualities. It didn’t take long to see how much people loved being around her. Her joy was infectious, and people naturally gravitated toward her because of the light she carried. London brought love, laughter, and countless memories into so many lives.

God picks the most beautiful flowers in the garden and takes them home. She loved her people deeply. She showed up. She cared.

Survivors include her mother, Misti Doucet of Silsbee; father, Laine Doucet and his wife, Megan, of Sour Lake; brother and Godfather, Hunter Horka Ingram and his wife, Madison; sister, Hadyn Harmon Ingram of Silsbee; nephew, Holden Beau Ingram; niece, Ryan Rae Ingram; grandparents, Pat Doucet “Geegee” of Bridge City, Pamala Horka “Ma’am” of Silsbee; Lela Gilchriest of Beaumont; aunt and Godmother, Penny Doucet, aunt, Debi Perricone and her husband, Carl, of Nederland; uncles, Lance Doucet and his wife, Deedra, of Orangefield, Loren Doucet and his wife, Mona, of Winnie, Colby Doucet of Fannett, Cody Gilchriest and his wife, Venus, of Huffman, and Will Gilchriest and his wife, Holly, of Midland; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at First Security Bank in Beaumont or Sour Lake referencing the Hallie London Doucet Memorial Scholarship Fund.

I was blessed to have Hallie as my “lil sis” at camp one year. A random draw of a hat turned into something so much more. Even though Hallie was younger than me, I always looked up to her – she was kind, funny, and always had fun at camp. We called camp heaven on earth and I pray that the joy we felt during those 3 weeks continues to radiate as we remember Hallie. We will never forget you, Hallie.
Day is done, gone the sun.

I first met London as a pre-K student while teaching Hayden junior high science at St. Anne. I remember that spunky little girl’s insistence that she wanted to start being called Hallie. She was maturing into a respectful young lady when the pandemic hit . Together, we all made it through the next school year, and her fun sense of spirit made it so much easier for everyone. Hallie was much loved by her teachers and classmates. Her passing is such a loss to the world. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Debbie Hollyfield says:

I know you said such a waste, so young to be gone…but she set an example for so many you women to follow. Be a good person, show respect and love your mother, family is everything, and then enjoy the little things that come. That was who I saw her become and had met her as an infant. What an amazing young lady……not a waist, a model! And a wonderful mother and family who lived her and saw success and faith i her.
