He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jacob Douglas Rodgers and his wife, Casey Rodgers; Dylan Wade Rodgers; Dagan Buckner; Kysan Buckner Kohring and her husband, Marshall Kohring; Kiara Danae Rodgers and her fiancé, Jonathon Conner; and Ian Nacol; as well as his great-grandchildren, Adelynn Tate and Lyvia Jade Rodgers, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harold was a graduate of French High School and dedicated 36 years of service to Gulf States Utilities/Entergy. He began his career in drafting, later moved into estimating, and ultimately served as an Operations Coordinator for transmission substations. He took great pride in his work and the many friendships he built along the way.
He loved basketball, golf, and Sundays spent watching the Miami Dolphins. His hobbies included spending time with family, building classic cars and motors, and enjoying a cold Bud Light. He was known for his giant heart, his generosity, and his ability to make anyone laugh. He never met a stranger and would give anyone the shirt off his back.
Harold showed his love through everyday acts of kindness. He made breakfast for his grandbabies every morning while they were in high school and made sure to give them a ride to school so they would not have to ride the bus. These simple routines became lifelong memories filled with laughter, love, and care.
There were countless unforgettable moments spent with Harold, crawfish boils, shop parties, UFC fights, and long nights of laughter shared with multiple friends and families gathered together. His home and shop were always full, his door always open, and everyone was welcome.
Known to everyone simply as “Paw Paw,” Harold had a way of making people feel loved, valued, and at ease. His warmth, humor, and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him, and his laughter and love will be carried forward in the many lives he touched.
Mr. Rodgers’ cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
Harold and I hired on with GSU just a few weeks apart back in 1967. Oh the stories I could tell from our days in the drafting department. It saddens me to lose so many of my old drafting buddies just in the last two months. I miss all of you guys. Hope to see you again.
Jake, please accept my condolences for your loss. May God be with you in the days to come. Respectfully, Brenda Davis (west end)/GSU
I first met Harold in the GSU drafting department many years ago. We became good friends and spent a lot of time together. We hung around for a lot of years. He was a hard worker, a good cook, and a great guy. He will be, truly, missed. I will always remember him fondly and look back on so many great memories. Rest in peace, my friend. Until we meet again…
Glenn.
Such a wonderful person, he did have a heart of gold, very kind and a true friend. Golfing with Harold was some of the best times in my life. He will be missed.
I write this with a saddened heart. My sweet husband, Joe Roberts, passed away on 11-21-25, and to learn of Harold’s passing, it really hits hard. Harold was a good friend, he, Ricks Bryant and Johnny Sullivan, along with Joe Budd played many rounds of golf at Bayou Din. So many fun memories, Harold will be missed, until we meet again!
Harold and I were brother- inlaws for many years and good friends. He will be missed by all who knew him
Harold and I worked together in the GSU drafting room and later in the Entergy transmission group. We played golf together and I would enjoy a Budlight with him. I was honored to call him my friend. RIP until we meet again!
So many years of great memories of Harold. Always helping with GSU’s Live Wires Club whether smoking brisket at the club’s property or boiling shrimp and frying oysters at the KC Hall. He did so much for the club and also served as its president for several years. He loved his GSU/Entergy friends and most of all, he enjoyed playing golf with them at Bayou Din. He was a great father who loved his family. It was an honor to be his friend and I will truly miss him.
Harold and Joe Roberts and I would leave for 3 or 4 days and go to Corvette auctions for me to get a 1967 Corvette. It took us 5 or 6 years to finally come home with one and Harold and Joe took turns driving it until we just rented a trailer and put it on that and enjoyed our ride home in my Van. Harold was a upstanding man and we played a lot of golf and softball together. I will always remember him as a great friend.
