Helen Milner
Helen Naomi Milner, 88, of Lumberton, died Monday, September 13, 2021. She was born on January 22, 1933, in Silsbee, to Bobbie Knighten Burnes and James Wesley Burnes
She was a graduate of Silsbee High School and attended Sam Houston State University. Helen was a member of Silsbee Chapter #298 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her sons, Bill G. Milner, Jr., and his wife, Lori, of Buna; Curtis “Gene” Milner and his wife, Sharon, of Kountze; and Audie Milner and his wife, Sherry, of Lumberton; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and brother, J.W. Burnes of Fred. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, B.G. “Curtis” Milner, Sr.; and sisters, Eudora Gregory and Violet Thornburg.
A gathering of Mrs. Milner’s family and friends will be 1:00 p.m., until 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with her graveside service at 4:00 p.m., at Mt. Pisgah, Woodville.

Family, Your mother, Helen was in our Sunday School Class at Crestwood. Because of the Covid she hasnn’t been able to be in class. We all missed her but, of course, understood she needed to home. I wanted to tell you how much we all loved her and will miss her. Also, personally, I was in awe of how strong she was, having to have oxygen with her at all times.
