Herbert T. “Herb” Montcalm
Herbert T. “Herb” Montcalm, 91, of Beaumont, died Monday, December 29, 2025. He was born on June 20, 1934, in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, to Bessie Hall and Cranston Montcalm.
Survivors include his wife of seventy-one years, they would have celebrated seventy-two years on January 2, Mavis Montcalm; daughter, Rebecca Grantham and her husband, Marlon, of Nederland; brother, Cranston Montcalm, Jr. of Winterhaven, Florida; sister, Betty Jane Sanford of Centerville, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Candice Wallace and her husband, Jon-Michael, of Nederland, and Morgan Smiley and her husband, Brent, of Nederland; great-grandchildren, Analiese, Aribella, and Alexanda Wallace; Mavis, Grant, and Lucas Smiley; and nephew, David Johnson and his wife, Marilyn, of Montgomery, Louisiana.
Herb is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Whitney Nicole Montcalm Grantham.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
A gathering of Mr. Montcalm’s family and friends will be 1:00 p.m. with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2026, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

I’m so sorry about learning of Herb’s passing,, my long time insurance man and advisor, shared an office down hall from for many, many years,,
Mavis, Becky and family, my love and prayer prayers are with you all during this time. Her was one of my favorite people and I always enjoyed our friendship. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may his face shine upon you, and give you peace. Love to you all.
