Horace Leon “JuJu” Porter Jr.
Horace Leon “JuJu” Porter, Jr., 57, of Hamshire, died Monday, September 6, 2021. He was born August 4, 1964, in Nederland, to Ima Jean Craigen Porter and Horace Leon Porter, Sr.
He enjoyed music, especially Pink Floyd, and baseball. Horace loved NASCAR and was proud to share his birthday with Jeff Gordon. He was a big fan of Bruce Lee. Horace worked at Motiva Contracting for Ab Cleaning Services for over twelve years and was a United States Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of over twenty years, Sarah Porter; son, Jeremy Porter and his wife, Sarah, of Beaumont; daughters, Jenna Marston and Ava Porter; granddaughters, Layla and Emory; parents, Leon and Ima Jean Porter, of Fannett; sisters, Donna Watson and her husband, David, of Liberty; and Christina Fountain and her husband, Kevin, of Nederland; and brothers, Donald Porter and his wife, Sherry, of Fannett; and Kenny Porter and his girlfriend, Dora Amador, of San Antonio.
A gathering of Horace’s family and friends will be 2:00 p.m., with his funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with his interment to follow at Broussard Cemetery, Hamshire. The family requests that anyone attending wears a mask and practices social distancing.

I am so sorry to hear about JuJu. Me and Patti have all of the families and friends in our thoughts and prayers. JuJu was like a little brother to me while we all grew up together. We made some great memories and shared some great times that will never be forgotten. Until we meet again in our Heavenly Father’s house, God’s speed my Brother!
