Hugo Thomas Berube

Hugo Thomas Berube, 89, of Port Arthur, died Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was born July 9, 1932, to Helen Kelso and Arthur Berube, in Port Arthur, Texas. He was a loving husband and enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors include his daughter, Faith Berube; granddaughters, Emily and Samantha Carr; son, Tommy Berube; daughter, Hope Sterling; three other grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Hugo is preceded in death by his wife Linda Williamson Berube; parents Helen Kelso Berube and Arthur Berube; sisters, Cynthia Nicholson and Dorothy Adair.

A gathering of Mr. Berube’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 26, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with his interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Nederland.

    Man what a great guy to work with we were in the paint department together he was a nicest person to us young squirts, had long hair with us just made us feel at home some of the old fellows didn’t take too kindly of new hires but he did. Rest in Peace Berube..
