Jack Louis Bearden

Jack Louis Bearden, 92, of Kountze, died Saturday, March 7, 2020.  He was born on February 28, 1928, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Vivian Bunell Bearden and John Louis Bearden.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and later retired as a bricklayer.

Survivors include his children, Beverly Lewis-Pieffer and her husband, Richard, of LeCompte, Louisiana; Jackie Jones and her husband, Mark, of Houston; and Dorita Capps of Lumberton; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia Sinclair Bearden; daughter, Paula Bearden; grandson, Todd Christopher Capps; three brothers; two sisters; son-in-law, Thurman Capps; and stepmother, Dorethea Bearden-Truly.

A gathering of Mr. Bearden’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His interment will follow at R.S. Famer Memorial Park, Silsbee.
