James “Floyd” Cox

August 22, 1932 - August 29, 2021

James “Floyd” Cox, 89, of Stowell, died August 29, 2021, at Riceland Hospital, Winnie. He was born August 22, 1932, in Many, Louisiana, to Tillipee Bell Arnold Cox and Marion Elijah Cox. He was a United State Air Force Veteran and faithful member of Trinity Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Dottie Ann Cox; Karen Lincoln and her husband, David; Cynthia Miller and her husband, Kyle; son, James “Jimmy” Cox and his wife, Benita; daughter, Beth Samson and her husband, Conan; son, Billy Cox; grandchildren, Autumn and Cassandra Ruhl; Chris Cox; Alex Lincoln; Lester Perrin, Jr.; Brian Perrin and his wife, Elizabeth; Lacey McCroy and her husband, Jared; Colleen Hoarau and her husband, Jeremy; Damian Soileau and his wife, Samantha; Cheyanne Cox; and William Loftin; great-grandchildren, David, Destinee, Gavin, Noah, Blaine, Madelyn, Elaina, Carter, Cayden; great-great-grandchildren, Austyn, Dawson, Baby Warthen on the way; brother, Pete Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Erica Cox; and great-grandsons, Mayson Lewis-Lincoln and Cooper Hoarau; and siblings, Frank, Bessie Mae, Barbara, Edward, Marion, Roylee, Leige, and Leslie.
