James “Jim” Orr, III

November 8, 1976 - April 17, 2022

James “Jim” Clifton Orr, III, of Kountze, died Sunday, April 17, 2022.  He was born on November 8, 1976, in Beaumont, to Mildred Bryant Orr Hawkins and James Clifton Orr, Jr.

Jim was the most loving and caring man in the world.  He would do anything for anybody.  Jim faced so many adversities in his life and overcame all of them.  He loved hunting and all outside sports and loved to cook, but he loved his family the best, especially his MaMa!  He was known by many as “Corky”, a high school nickname that just stuck.  Jim, you will be dearly missed by all.

Survivors include his mother, Mimi Hawkins of Kountze; father, James Orr, Jr. of Beaumont; brother, Jesse Orr of Kountze; grandmother, Helen Minton of Beaumont; aunts and uncles, Mike Bryant and his wife, Allison, of Florida; and Sue Webb and her husband, Clem; Rudy Minton and his wife, Joni; and Kim Minton, all of Beaumont; stepbrother, Erik Hawkins; cousins, Beau Bryant and SarahBeth Bryant; nieces and nephews, Briana VanNess, Jimmy VanNess, Jaydon Lane Orr, and their mother, Rhia Hall; and numerous other cousins.  He is preceded in death by his stepdad, Rod Hawkins; aunt, Mary Fredryk; and grandparents, Wayne Minton, and Kathryn and Jesse Bryant.

A gathering of Jim’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with his interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.

    I remember JIMBO when he was in diapers. He was so fast and loveable. As we all got older we kinda went out on our on ways. But when I did get to see him he was remarkable.
