James Kenneth Bridges

James Kenneth Bridges, 74, of Village Mills, died Tuesday, September 7, 2021.  He was born on December 27, 1946, in Vidor, to Ollie Mae Wallace Bridges and Voorhees Degraw Bridges.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-three years, Cathy Bridges; children, Kevin Bridges; Sean Bridges and his wife, Melanie; Jamie Mayer and her husband, Terry; Wayne McLaughlin and his wife, Kirsten; and Kevin McLaughlin and his wife, Yvonne; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Shirley Bulgherina; Becky Steele and her husband, Jack; and Bill Bridges and his wife, Audrey.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Buddy Bridges.

A gathering of Mr. Bridges’ family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 12, 2021, at First Baptist Church, 11645 Highway 69 South, Warren 77664, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His interment will follow at Village Mills Cemetery, Village Mills.
