James Lee “Cricket” Owen
James Lee “Cricket” Owen, 65, of Port Neches, died Sunday, December 14, 2025. He was born on November 26, 1960, to James Ralph Lee Owen and Jane Owen in Dallas.
Survivors include his mother, Jane Owen; children, Ashley Elizabeth Owen of Portland, and James Ryan Owen and his wife, Chelsea and grandson, James Nicholas Owen of Crescent City, California; former wife, Leslyn Owen Dooley; and fiancé Tina Granger of Orange, daughters, Holly and Meaghan, and their children, and Jaxon, whom Cricket had a special bond with through their love of Hot Wheels and old trucks..
He is preceded in death by his father James R.L. Owen, and youngest son, Nicholas Ray Owen.
A casual gathering of Mr. Owen’s family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th street, Nederland. His interment will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, in Santa Rosa, California.
