James Leon Kilpatrick

January 24, 1962 - January 25, 2022

James Leon Kilpatrick, 60, of China, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He was born on January 24, 1962, to Juanita Ann Thibodeaux Kilpatrick and Charlie Kilpatrick, in Beaumont. James was a longtime member of China Baptist Church where he made many friends. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his sister, Patsy Henson and her husband, Keith and brothers, Richard Kilpatrick and Thomas Kilpatrick, all of China; half-sister, Ashley Tevis and her husband, Scott, of Oklahoma; stepmother, Lana Kilpatrick; stepbrother, Lawrence Brantley of DeQuincy, Louisiana; three nieces; two nephews; one great-nephew; one great-niece; and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Kilpatrick.

A gathering of Mr. Kilpatrick’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m. with his funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at China Cemetery, China.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 42040, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123.

    We certainly all had fun and good memories
    working at Larry’s Restaurant together. We worked hard but certainly had a lot of fun and laughs. Y’all were all great to work with. James will be missed in China.
