James Randall Newberry
James Randall Newberry, 64, of Thicket, passed peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Randall was born in Port Arthur on January 31, 1958, and was raised in Nederland.
He graduated from Nederland High School in 1976 and attended Lamar State University. Before graduating, he started a successful custodial business he owned and operated for nearly ten years. Afterwards he dissolved the business to move to Thicket, Texas, and work in carpet and flooring installing and sales, and retiring from that after fifteen years. Randall maintained his home and property full time. He was a man of many skills and loved to maintain his garden and property, enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his two sons and grandchildren.
Survivors include son, James Brandon Newberry; son-in-law, Benjamin Bourgeois; son, Erran Newberry; daughter-in-law, Shyra Newberry; grandchildren, Leila, Eden, Jude, Everett, and Samuel Newberry.
A memorial service for Mr. Newberry will be held at a later date. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont
