I only got to meet Jim once, but we became good FB friends. He was obviously a good, Christian man who loved Mariellen tremendously. He will be missed by all his friends & family.

Jim was one of the nicest men I have ever known. His caring ways were always evident with his loving wife, Mariellen, and he always seemed to think that whatever she did was the greatest. He proved this time after time when she would try out her creative kale recipes on him. Even if he didn't like her invention, he was always complimentary, and i found that charming. His laugh was infectious and his sense of humor endearing. He is going to be missed by many for a long, long time. God bless you, Jim Dear.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Jim was a great guy, and I'm so fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend time with him. Hi son, Dan, is a good friend of mine. When we weren't fishing, at Sartin's, or driving up and down the beaches, we'd be at their house cooking up crawfish or other tasty treats. Great times and memories. He will be deeply missed.

Joyce Bowman

Mariellen, I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing.. The two of you shared a wonderful life together and I know your heart is full of beautiful memories. You and Jim will be in my prayers at the cremation event in the morning. I wish I could give you a real hug but just know that there is love and many hugs for you in my heart.

Kyle Rogers

I wanted to share my deepest condolences with the Roses as well as Matt Foust. I have very fond memories of Cub Scout camp with Daniel and Mr. Rose, I also remember Mr. Rose working on backyard carpentry projects for the house and just being a generally nice person when I come over to socialize with Daniel. It's a sad loss. Once again I offer my deep sympathies.
