James Thomas “Tommy” Pendergrass

James Thomas “Tommy” Pendergrass, 77, of Silsbee, died Friday, February 27, 2026. He was born on May 10, 1948, in Kirbyville, to Irene Barnett Pendergrass and James A. Pendergrass. He was a proud United States Army National Guard veteran.

Survivors include his daughter, Tara Bledsoe of San Antonio; stepchildren, James M. Havard and his wife, Kim, of Groves; Clint Havard and his wife, Amber, of Galveston; and Matthew Havard and his wife, Javonne, of Kountze; grandchildren, Becks Bledsoe; Cooper Bledsoe; Mikayla Wappler and her husband, Matthew, of Orangefield; Keaton Havard and his wife, Taylor, of Morgan City, Louisiana; Ashlyne Havard of Fannett; Caleb Havard and his wife, Samantha, of League City; Jordan Havard, Lalanya Havard and Grayson Havard; and great-great grandchildren, Jackson Wappler, Audrey Wappler, and Jolee Havard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Irene and James A. Pendergrass; wife, Linda Pendergrass; and brother, Kenneth Pendergrass.

A gathering of Mr. Pendergrass’ family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 101 Block Street, Port Neches.
