Wesley was the backbone of Night Strike Ministries. He chose that name because it describes a military strike conducted under the cover of darkness. Night Strike is a mobile operation that rolls into the heart of the enemy’s strong hold. Through a hot meal, a caring touch, and a message that God loves them, lives are changed. Night Strike is the first Friday of each month; and other than during hurricane Harvey, it has gone on monthly rain, or shine for the past 11 years. This ministry is changing the lives of our brothers and sisters in downtown Beaumont, and the lives of countless volunteers from across southeast Texas who faithfully show up every month to demonstrate God’s love.
There is a line Wesley shared about Night Strike, and that is “You will never look into a man’s eyes that Jesus didn’t die for.” Wesley saw everyone he met with that vision.

May God rest your soul brother in Christ Jesus. May you rest in Heaven forever. It was always a pleasure hearing you speak and seeing you. You’re a hero to many who knew you including me.
I’ll never forget you. God bless you and see you later till we meet again , in Heaven. ❤️
I had the honor or working with him for around 4 yrs with Night Strike and just here in the past 6 months almost on a daily at our building getting stuff together to make camp runs to Love on our homeless brothers and sisters, his last words to me Friday Night the last Night Strike when he came over to greet me and hug me I told him hey my friend I am so glad to see you alive ‘he had been pretty sick for several weeks” and he smiled and looked st me and replied “Yes Sis, I’m alive for now.” I miss him every day.
I knew Wesly for 30 years. First through the YMBL and second through Wesley Methodist Church. I witnessed the “change”. Wesley was truly a man of God and brought the word of Jesus to everyone he met daily. I will truly miss the visits from time to time with my friend. God has taken home one of the best.
Rest in piece my friend.
