James Wista Andrews III

August 29, 1957 - September 22, 2021

James Wista Andrews III, Jimmy, 64, of Kountze, left us on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was born on August 29, 1957, in Beaumont to Marian Ann Richardson and James Wista Andrews, Jr.

Jimmy spent his entire career in Industrial Sales and, true to his character, remained loyal to the same office for over 45 years of service. Like most, he entered into the industry working in the warehouse, but through hard work and determination, he finished his career as a mentor to the team as it has generationally changed and an owning partner of BK Industrial Solutions.

During his free time and early stages of retirement, Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman who thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. In recent years, Jimmy and Darlene moved out of the city and into rural communities where they found a new passion for farm life.

Surviving immediate family includes his wife of 40 years, Darlene Ann Andrews; sons, Chris Andrews and his wife, Sara, of Kountze; Jon Andrews and his wife, Lyndsay, of Lumberton; and Ronnie Howard and his wife, Kerry, of Pearland; grandchildren Paisley, Jack, Collins, Tate, Cade and Reed; brother, Richard Andrews and his wife, Veronica, and son Richard Andrews Jr  of Beaumont; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, James Jr and Marian Andrews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lifeshare Blood Center; 4305 Laurel Avenue, Beaumont.

A gathering of Jimmy’s family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.

    Darlene,
We are so incredibly sad to hear of the passing of Jim. You and Jim showed us so much kindness while purchasing your home even though you had lost everything. We hope to share great memories in Bevil Oaks like you did for many years. We are praying for you and your family.

Darlene, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Jim was a special person. I will never forget visiting in your home with the two of you about Jim getting on the Bevil Oaks City Council. Your friend made and sent several homemade quilts for the residents after hurricane Harvey. Ronnie and I still have both of ours and use them often. We worked hard getting into the Hardin Jefferson School District and now there are families with young children moving into Bevil Oaks. I wish we still lived there to see children out playing again. Ronnie and I have lived at Calder Woods for almost four years. Our prayers are with you and your family at this very sad time.

Jim & I first met in 1984. The company he worked for took care of our industrial needs. He was always upbeat & a great guy to converse with. My condolences & prayers for his family and friends. God Speed My Friend. ????????????????

My heart is heavy with grief. Jimmy was an exceptional man, husband, father, grandfather and someone I proudly claim as my cousin. He was a true friend that I, and so many others, will miss dearly. He has left his imprint on so many of us, and we are all better people for having this man in our lives. You have always earned, deserved and have, my love and respect. Rest in Peace Jimmy!
