Janet Elaine Berry, 75, of Jasper, died Tuesday, January 13, 2026. She was born on December 19, 1950, in Springhill, Louisiana, to Corrine Phillips Modisette and Robert Doyce Modisette.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Wayne Berry; children, Robert Wayne Berry and his wife, Angie, of Hemphill; and James Lynn Berry and his wife, Patricia, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Dillon Berry and his fiancé, Tawnee, of Sour Lake; Brian David Berry and his wife, Samantha, of Wildwood; Bailey Berry and his fiancé, Kaitlyn, of Vidor; Briar Berry, and Abel Berry, both from Hemphill; and Dylan, Dustin, and Lacey Verrett, all of Nome; great-grandchildren, Blake Berry, Waylon Berry, Kobi Berry, Blakely Collier, and Hudsyn Collier; and sister, Glenda Aldridge and her husband, Gary, of Stamps, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Corrine and Robert Modisette; son, Brian David Berry; and sister, Louise Taylor.

A gathering of Mrs. Berry’s family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe Street, Kountze. Her graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
