Janet Haynes Klock “MiMi”

October 18, 1956 - August 24, 2021

Janet Haynes Klock “MiMi”, 64, of Hamshire, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on October 18, 1956, to JoAnn Marie Bares Haynes and Horace Ira Haynes, Jr., in Beaumont.

Janet taught at Pine Forest Elementary and retired from Vidor ISD after teaching at the elementary for over twenty-one years. She enjoyed working in her garden, arts and crafts with her family, and cooking. Her biggest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother and taking care of everyone. She is the reason we see life through a filter of love. Her heart has given more life to the best of us. Janet will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, and MiMi.

Survivors include her sons, BJ Luquette and his wife, Bekah, of Dallas; Brandon Luquette and his wife, Erica, of Hamshire; and Cody Klock and his wife, Ashley A., of Nederland; daughters, Ashley K. Klock and her fiancé, Brandon Savoy, of Hamshire and Kalli Klock of Nederland; granddaughters, Lauren, Adrianna, Madison, Sadie, Emalynn, Cadence, and Peyton; parents, Horace and JoAnn Haynes, Jr., of Fannett; brothers, Randy Haynes and his wife, Brenda and Rusty Haynes, both of Fannett; sister, Brenda Rollins of Beaumont; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Terry Sonnier.

A gathering of Ms. Klock’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.

The family asks that you please wear a proper face covering while attending Ms. Klock’s services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to adoptaclassroom.org.

    I had no idea until today that Janet had passed. To her family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I am a mother of children she taught and a substitute teacher that worked with her on many occasions. She had such a passion for her students, she cared for each of them. I also remember her talking about her family, she loved each of you deeply. She had a big heart! This just breaks my heart. Praying for your family as you go through this time in your lives.
