Janice Martin Grossheim
The gale force wind that was Janice Martin Grossheim shifted to a whisper on March 19, 2026, at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born February 11, 1964, in Woodville, Texas, to Rufus E. Martin Jr. and Jaqueline “Jackie” Martin, Janice grew up in Beaumont, Texas, and graduated from Forest Park High School in 1982. She spent most of her life in the Beaumont area, where she raised her three children and pursued a career in property management.
Janice was a devoted Christian, a loving parent, and the best sibling and friend one could ever wish for.
In recent years, Janice made her home in Crystal Beach, Texas, affectionately calling it her “Happy Place.” She spent her final years there truly living her dream. Deeply engaged in her community, Janice served as Co-Chair of the Marketing Committee and was an active, dedicated member of the Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. She gave freely of her time, energy, and heart to support local businesses, community events, and the people she cared about. Her warm spirit and welcoming smile defined her, and that smile will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Janice is welcomed into heaven by her mother, Jaqueline “Jackie” Martin; her father, Rufus Martin Jr.; her son, Cyril Fletcher; and her sister, Sandra Marino.
She is survived by her daughter, Jenica Fletcher; her son, Iann Fletcher; her siblings, Lynda Moncla, Barbara Raymond, and David Martin; her loving partner, Brad Black; and countless dear friends across the Beaumont and Crystal Beach communities.
A celebration of Mrs. Grossheim’s life will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2026, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.

Our deepest condolences got out to Janice’s family, her children, her longtime Beaumont friends, her Crystal Beach friends and her Bolivar Escapes Family. Janice was a true friend who always let you know what a special person you were. She brought out the best in everyone she encountered. My dear friend Janice is so missed by everyone who knew her. She made every moment an adventure and I’m so grateful for all the time I spent with her. God surely brought an angel home!
Janice was one the best friends I’ve ever had and will be greatly missed and never forgotten
The light of life will be dimmer without her

Janice, I am forever grateful for the incredible memories we have created together! I am truly inspired by our uplifting conversations on the beach! I feel blessed that our paths have crossed. You are already missed, my amazing friend!
Janice will be forever missed by us. We met through Bolivar Escapes and were instantly connected. She is fabulous personally and professionally. Sending Prayers for each of her family members.
You were such a good friend. Always had a smile and so cheerful. You will be greatly missed.
I met Janice several years ago. She was always a joy to be around. A beautiful woman. I am sure she will missed by many on Bolivar ❤️
My thoughts and prayers are with her family and all who loved her. Our last conversation she told me of all her future plans and how much God had blessed her life. She was so full of life and I don’t think I ever saw her when she didn’t have a smile on her face. Her loss is just heartbreaking and I know she will be terribly missed.
Ci stringiamo al vostro dolore
Sentite Condoglianze a tutta la famiglia
Ciao jenice ” Vola in Alto “
Sentitissime condoglianze a tutta la famiglia per la perdita di jenice un abbraccio 🙏
The Bolivar Peninsula will never be the same without our beautiful, energetic, loving, caring Janice!!! We all miss her so much already. Janice, just know we, your friends at the beach, will take care of Brad for you the best we can. But no one can be the love of his life or the caretaker you were to him. He tells me every day since you left this world, that he feels you watching over him. We love you and will forever miss you, my friend.
Janice made my brother in law a happy man. He was going through some stuff when he met her. I can say I really enjoyed the times we shared. Down to earth. Always had a smile on her face. Sucks that you left us so soon. Please keep an eye on Brad. Love ya girl!!!
Janice was a “get things done” kind of girl. The last time I talked to her, I asked her,”don’t you ever sleep “? She said, no, it makes you old. What a great gal! ❤️
Janice loved her life and was not afraid to live it! The last time I saw her she was so busy and had accomplished more than most of us ever dream of. She was a true inspiration, a fearless girl boss and I will never forget how she could do it all with a smile on her face and love in her heart.
Barbara and family.
So sorry to hear about your tragic and sudden loss of Janice. She was one of a kind. Her unique personality, love of friends, and life will live on in memories.
Patrice
Missing you so much my special friend.
