Jeanette Labove Parrish

July 5, 1949 - August 21, 2021

Jeanette LaBove Parrish, 72, of Lumberton, died Saturday, August 21, 2021, after a series of strokes. She was born on July 5, 1949, in Port Neches, to Diola Richard LaBove and Lawrence LaBove. Jeanette loved the beach, enjoyed an occasional trip to the slot machines. She worked as a process server and records manager for Charlotte Smith Reporting for over twenty-five years. Jeanette will be remembered for the love of her family, especially the bond she had with her sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Renee Venable, of Beaumont and Kim McGrath and her husband, Scott, of Houston; son, Josh Parrish and his fiancée, Margarete Stehle, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Erika, Blake, Emily, and Travis; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Maddie; sisters, Linda Fancey and her husband, Charlie, of China; Kathy Spencer and her husband, Ron of Southlake; and Phyllis Michels and her husband, Mike, of Trinity; former husband and friend, Obie Parrish, of China; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Darrell LaBove; and sister, Freda Gilmore.

A gathering of Jeanette’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2021, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 US-90, China, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Intrepid Hospice, especially Theresa, Christie, and Ruth.
