Jeff Hatton Skinner

February 9, 1935 - February 3, 2021

Jeff Hatton Skinner, 85, of Silsbee, died on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.  She was born on February 9, 1935, in Warren, Texas, to Myrtle Montgomery Hatton and John Luke Hatton.

Mrs. Skinner excelled at basketball at Warren High School and loved her New York Yankees and Boston Celtics.  She enjoyed tending to her yard and especially liked to mow on her John Deere.  She enjoyed being a part of the Sweet Adelines and was the owner of Garden of Eden Florist in Silsbee, Texas in the mid-eighties. She loved spending time with the grandkids which she adored. Mrs. Skinner will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Nonnie.

Survivors include her sons, Scott Skinner and his wife, Patricia and Shawn Skinner all of Silsbee, Texas; grandchildren, Zachary Skinner and his wife, Kara, of Howe, Texas and Joshua Skinner of Colorado Springs, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Noah and Maysie; and sisters, Dot Arnold and her husband, Clarence, of Sour Lake, Texas and Johnnie Choate and her husband, Jerry, of Magnolia, Texas.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of fifty-nine years, James A. “Shorty” Skinner; sister, Nelda Jean Palumbo; and an infant baby brother.

Mrs. Skinner’s graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Allison Cemetery, Warren, Texas, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
