Jeremy Dwayne Cooper, 2, of Winnie, died Thursday, May 21, 2020, at Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.

Jax and Jeremy were born on November 3, 2017, to Anna Bratten and Jeremy Cooper, in Galveston. They loved hugs and kisses, and their favorite song was SpongeBob. Jax and Jeremy were very affectionate towards others and were loved by all their surrounding family.

Other than their parents, they are survived by their uncle, Josh Cooper and his wife, Megan, of Beaumont; aunt, Jennifer Scroggs of Pierre-Part, Louisiana; paternal grandmother, Sandra Cooper of Labelle; maternal grandfather, Garry Bratten of Winnie; paternal grandparents, Jack Cooper and his wife, Sylvia, of Wallisville; paternal great-grandmother, Georgia Bland; paternal great-grandfather, Bill Bland; maternal great-grandmother, Conway and Loretta Dye; cousins, Brandon Broom; Lexi Broom; Kameron Holder; Kandyce Tousha and her husband, Junior; Derrick Dupuy and his wife, Laura; Raven Galaviz; and Sierra Galaviz; great-aunt, Connie Bough; maternal great-aunt and uncle, Mary and Larry Bratten; paternal great-aunts and uncles, Marilyn Baugh and Clay Dupuy, Carol Holder, and Cheryl Broom.

They are preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Shirley Bratten; maternal great-grandmother, Florence Martin; and paternal great-grandparents, Howard and Bonnie Stengler.

A gathering of Jax and Jeremy’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with their funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2020, at First Baptist Church, 120 West Pear, Winnie. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Please observe social distancing guidelines.
