Jerry “Darlin” Jordan

March 4, 1938 - October 18, 2025

Jerry Allison Jordan, Sr., 87, of Fannett, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025. Born on March 4, 1938, Jerry spent his life surrounded by family, friends, and the great outdoors he loved so much.

He was a man who could make anything grow — from tomatoes in his garden to laughter around a dinner table. He loved golf, good music, and a well-timed joke, but nothing compared to the joy he found in family. His wife, Jackie, was the love of his life and together they built a beautiful life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Jordan; son, Jerry Jordan and wife, Susan; daughter, D’Lisa Mitchell and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Cassidy Morgan and husband, Jordy, granddaughter Montana Mitchell, and grandson Trae Minaldi; and great-grandchildren, Knox, Ander, and Bradi.

Jerry will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and “Darlin’” whose love for family ran deep.  He will be remembered for his easy smile, and the way he showed love not through words alone, but through presence, persistence, and play. Those who knew him best will forever hear his voice in the rustle of the garden, the ripple of the beach waves, and the strum of a favorite song.

A life well lived, a heart well loved, and stories that will be told for generations — that was Jerry Jordan, Sr.

A gathering of Mr. Jordan’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Head Of Hollow Cemetery, Cameron, Louisiana 70631.

I got to meet Jerry one time while visiting with Mark & D’Lisa, and after I was introduced I whispered to D’Lisa, “Are you sure? I should call I’m Darlin’?” With Hearty laughter she affirmed it!
I enjoyed his stories, his smile, his laughter and his apparent kindness. He left the impression like if Louie Lamore had written about him, he’d be “One to ride the river with!”
D’Lisa, Jackie, Jerry… God bless you as your lives change from the loss. I pray the good memories he left are always the strongest. He was a lovely and loving man. I’m glad I got to know him that time. May he RIP.
