Jerry Glenn Carney, 75, of Sour Lake, died Monday, January 30, 2023. He was born on October 9, 1947, in Beaumont, to Veta Fannell LounsBerry Carney and Arthur Jewel Carney.

Survivors include his son, Bobby Carney and his wife, DeDe, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Madison Carney and Garrett Carney; siblings, Bobby Lynn Carney and his wife, Dewilyn, of Wildwood, Fannell Vaughn and her husband, Eddie, of Annapolis, Maryland and Ellice Ledet of Sour Lake; nephews, Brian Carney and his wife, Alicia, of El Paso; Brent Carney and his wife, Emily, of Wildwood; Brady Carney and his wife, Jennifer, of Sour Lake; Rob Vaughn and his wife, Kayleigh, of Annapolis, Maryland and Michael Smith and his wife, Kim of Nacogdoches. He is preceded in death by his parents.

His cremation was handled by Broussard’s Crematorium.
